The Giver by Lois Lowry made me question the way life really is. While reading this book a begin to realize that our life should be more controlled like that. People going through each grade at the same time while doing volunteer work. By the time these kids were 12 they were entering the adult life. Ever since they were born they have basically been given a job title which they work towards and it seems to work for their community. Everybody knows not to make another feel uncomfortable and they apoligize if they feel they have. Why can’t our society be like that? Our life is a constant struggle between racism, harrasment, fighting, and more fighting. Everybody knew what to do and when to do. They knew what not to do. The whole idea of somebody controlling your life doesn’t sound to pleasant but the author makes the idea of the book seem enjoyable. When Jonas becomes the receiver you start to see a whole other side of the community. The old giver is showing Jonas that there is a whole world out there of pain. Why wouldn’t they want to stay with the life they have? The life in the book compared to the actual life is way off. They aren’t anywhere close to being the same. I wish that our life could stay the same but have more control like The Giver. I think this book is a great idea for a life.

The arts blog was a wanderful site to view the idea of helping out. The idea of being a leader in any form was beneficial to your self as well as to others. The site describes ways to think bigger then you normally would and expand on those ideas. It’s about your personal growth and how you need to apply it to life.

It’s a good thing. Ambition is passion with an actual plan — and a fighting chance to accomplish your vision.

Ambition gives people the drive to actually persue what they are passionate about. The more people are passoinate the more can be accomplished. I think that this site helps people realize what their own personal drive can do for others or for themselves.

This blog, Ipod-Phone = Ipod Touch , explains how they were interested in this piece of technology because of the variety it offers. THey have the web, music, and its a phone. Their only concern was the price in which this high fashioned piece would cost. THey explored different blog sites and then different news sites. THe student enjoyed the idea that one blog was focused on people’s reactions to the ITouch and they other was focused only on the money and business part of the same piece of technology.
